Simple Weightloss - How to Beat Food Cravings

All people struggle with food yearnings. And just what is a craving? Well a yearning is a dreadful desire for a specific kind of food, generally to satisfy one's taste buds, not just to please appetite. You might find your everyday or weekly yearning is felt for sugary sweets like candy, or chocolate. For others it might be a yearning for fatty potato chips or an extra glass of beer.

But, don't worry. The occasional craving is not a problem, in fact, in some cases it is in fact a positive experience. Later, when you have been excellent with your eating practices you can indulge your yearnings, pleasing those requirements or desires as a benefit for all of your hard work. The trick depends on not enabling yourself to become constantly overwhelmed by your yearnings and give up frequently.

What lies at the heart of your cravings? You may think that your bad habits are accountable for this yearning, or that you have very bit will power. Although, these might be partly at fault, this does not tell the whole story. Food cravings are also biologically based. In order to beat the food craving we must understand these underlying reasons.

Your Factors For Yearning Food

Blood Sugar Level & Serotonin

If you are tired or feel depressed your body's natural factor for this is low levels of blood sugar. In response your brain signals that it needs something to raise your blood sugar levels. This very natural pattern is at the base of your craving for sugar or carbs. In addition, another chain reaction that triggers your yearnings involves Serotonin, our bodies' feel-good hormone. When your body has a low level of Serotonin it tries to compensate by forcing you to consume sugar or carbohydrates to raise blood glucose and Serotonin levels.

But carbohydrates (such as sugar) just release a brief burst of serotonin, here quickly fading after being consumed and absorbed; when Serotonin levels and blood glucose levels fall back down, the craving returns.

But, there is another major reason that beating your yearnings is so tough (and why they appear in the first place)!

Adrenal Fatigue

If you are stressed out, not received a peaceful night sleep, or are just plain tired for no particular reason you are more than likely suffering from adrenal fatigue.

Adrenal Tiredness, much like the procedure outlined above, includes your body sending a signal to the brain for a pick-me-up and that is your craving for sugar or carb treats, or may be, coffee during the day; during the night you may try to find alcohol or carbs. All of this only makes the issue worse.

Beating the craving

If you appreciate the standard factors for the craving, then beating the food yearning can be done. It might take a little time but it can be done. To break food cravings, the body needs healthy foods, additional nutritional supplements at times; this and moderate exercise can help curb cravings. This process may take some time, but you will succeed.
